In 2019, some of our team members facilitated the combination of OCI’s fertilizer business and ADNOC’s Fertilizers business, into OCI’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) nitrogen fertilizer platform to form a new joint venture called Fertiglobe plc.

Fertiglobe is now the largest producer of nitrogen-based fertilizers in the Middle East and North Africa with a combined production capacity of 6.5 million tons of urea and merchant ammonia.

In addition, some of our team members advised on Fertiglobe’s listing on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) in 2021, making it the first free zone and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) company to be listed and traded on an onshore stock exchange in the UAE. Furthermore, raising over USD795 million, the Fertiglobe IPO is the third largest ever listing on the ADX.
