Khaled El Dardiry is a Partner at MFDP and Co-Head of Corporate M&A and Head of Capital Markets, with over 18 years of experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and cross-border transactions.
Before joining MFDP, Khaled served as Legal Director of Orascom Construction PLC, OCI N.V., and Fertiglobe Holding Limited. Earlier in his career, he practiced as an international lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, served as a junior prosecutor in the Public Prosecution Office, and worked as a junior attorney at Commercial International Bank (CIB).
As in-house counsel at Orascom, Khaled played a key role in several major cross-border transactions, including the joint venture between Orascom and Abu Dhabi National Company, the dual listing of Orascom Construction PLC on Nasdaq Dubai and the Egyptian Exchange, and the re-domiciliation of OCI S.A.E. to the Netherlands through an Egyptian mandatory tender offer.
He has also advised on financing transactions for the Orascom Group totaling more than US$10 billion in aggregate value, and has served on the boards of several operating subsidiaries.
